Plush Owl FELICITAS

The plush owl FELICITAS was lovingly crafted with attention to detail in our  FAIRtigung Textil.

FELICITAS is not only a truly beautiful name, but also the Latin word for “happiness, fertility, and bliss,” famously embodied by the Roman goddess of the same name.

Owls are not only incredibly cool nocturnal animals—they were also carried “to Athens” in ancient Greece as symbols of wisdom and companions of the goddess Athena, featured on minted coins.
Only the German language has two words for this bird: “Eule” and “Kauz”—each echoing the sounds of their calls.

And “UHU” is not just a glue brand—it’s also the largest of the ten owl species native to Austria. The other nine are (in descending forehead order): Habichtskauz, Waldkauz, Sumpfohreule, Waldohreule, Schleiereule, Raufußkauz, Steinkauz, Zwergohreule, and Sperlingskauz.

That was our compact, cross-disciplinary lesson in history, geography, and biology.

But our plush owl FELICITAS is above all: super sweet, truly lovable, a charming little character, and a wonderful cuddly toy.
