15 Years of Hunger for Art and Culture
A reader. Stories by and about people for whom the Culture Pass reopened doors—to art, culture, and life.
There are many stories to tell. After 15 years of Hunger for Art and Culture.
Stories that often speak of difficult life paths, yet are full of hope.
Stories that move and surprise.
Stories that simply express the joy that the Culture Pass brings.
Stories from people for whom the Culture Pass and its accompanying projects reopened a door to the world of art and culture.
In some cases, it even changed their lives, opened new perspectives, and enriched the lives of all our participants.
He who stands there stands for many. He who stands there stands for those who don’t count—because they cannot pay. As declared in Article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights…
The initiative “Hunger for Art & Culture” was launched in 2003 by Schauspielhaus Wien in cooperation with the Austrian Poverty Conference to open the doors to art and culture for socially disadvantaged people.
