Wine in a coffee bag? Or rather the stable comparison of growing these three top varieties on the same plantation in the exact proportions, as found in the green coffee blend, inspired by the famous Austrian wine cuvée. From nature into the bag — always in the same tried-and-true mixing ratio.
A blend of the jointly grown varieties Bourbon, Pacas, and Yellow Honey from an altitude of 1,200 m. It comes from Finca Santa Cristina in the Quezaltepeque mountain region near San Salvador. Depending on the mood, it can be lively and spirited on one side, and calm and moderate on the other — just like the volcano on whose slopes it grows. Cocoa, sweet panela, and soft caramel alternate with zesty orange notes, making its character truly exciting.
In filter coffee, the fruity notes come through particularly well. For a gentler and fruitier espresso or lungo, prepare it in a fully automatic machine or portafilter.
To achieve the best possible flavor, the Röstwerkstatt creates a unique roast profile for each coffee variety. Finding it requires knowledge, time, and patience: the Röstwerkstatt cups countless sample roasts in tiny batches until the ideal flavor profile is achieved. In their micro-roastery, the beans are then gently drum-roasted in small quantities.
