The tschutti heftli – Collecting Football with Heart

The tschutti heftli is a football sticker album from Switzerland that brings football and art together. Instead of conventional photographs, the players are portrayed by international artists. The different artistic styles make each album a diverse collection of contemporary portrait art.

The illustrations are selected by a jury as part of an international competition. This creates a unique combination of football, illustration and creative diversity in every edition.

The backs of the stickers are also part of the concept: they can be designed or supported by fans, organisations and companies, making the stickers worth a second look from the back as well.

The tschutti heftli represents an alternative to the classic football sticker album, with a particular focus on art, social engagement and social responsibility.

In Austria, the tschutti heftli has been sold and distributed since 2016 by people facing disadvantages in the labour market, to collectors in Austria and other European countries. They receive support from the non-profit organisation Job-TransFair in their search for a new, long-term job. Job-TransFair is a subsidiary of BFI Vienna and receives financial support from the Vienna Public Employment Service.
